The Womens Protection Units YPJ is an all-female military self-defense force that was founded in 2013 with the aim to protect the people and women of Rojava and their right of self-administration.
We inform the international community and wider public with on-the-ground information about the activities and tasks of YPJ. We also report on human rights violations and war crimes in our territory, primarily committed by the Turkish State and ISIS.
